Running is a big theme

Okay, so I guess that being on the run in my dreams is a common theme. As with many people, I often have trouble even remembering what happens in my dreams, so I have started keeping a notebook by my bed with a pen jammed down the wire coil. Another way to try to remember dreams is to immediately say what happened in the dream as soon as you wake up. Hearing it helps you remember it beyond 5 seconds of waking up.

Last night in particular most if not all of my dreams involved running from something or someone. Most of them are too vague to go in-depth, but I managed to write down two of them. There is another dream that I will start out with that I had last week. It has been in the back of my mind ever since, and it is a dream that has really influenced me to start this journal.
_______
Dream 1:
After much violent chasing, running, and adrenaline, I end up in a very small rail yard, only 4 tracks wide, and does not have very many rail cars. I am being chased by a young woman in her mid twenties. She is trying to kill me, I think she is some sort of contract killer. She has a dart gun which I assume contains poison darts, which she fires at me and misses. I hear it whiz by and ricochet off of a rail car. I have no idea who she is, or who sent her [she resembles nobody I know from the waking world] but I grab her by the arm and push her against a large tree trunk. She sits down on something at the base of the tree and is suddenly naked from the stomach down. She doesn't seem bent on killing me for the moment and I find myself trying to pry her legs apart. Her arms are relaxed at her side; she's still holding the gun, but her legs are resisting as best she can but I am stronger. I try to push into her but she is squeezing as tight as possible, [Her semi-resistant reaction is very perplexing to me] and after about ten seconds I finally penetrate her defense. [Immediately after this I wake up out of shock for what I just did, what a shame... I mean shame on me!]
_________

I really don't know where to start on that one, all I can say is that I have never raped anyone in my life.

Dream 2:
It's night time in the suburbs, and I am driving my car down a 4 lane road, two lanes going each direction through a residential neighborhood. I change lanes to pass a car, and change lanes again to pass another car in the passing lane. It's a cop. I passed him at 40 MPH in a 35. I don't worry about it too much but I slow down anyway and let him pass me again. The road tees-off up ahead at a lake. He turns right on the road and I decide to stop the car because I am getting nervous. I pull into a random driveway. I can see through the yard that he has turned right again and is driving down the next block. I get more worried that he is attempting to get around the block and follow me so I leave my car and head for the lake. I jump over the railing and hide against the bank slope and hope he doesn't think to look there. I hear him come about, get out of the squad car, and I look up and see him looking down at me. I am caught.
"I suppose this doesn't look so good," I say to him calmly.
"Yer damn right, it doesn't," he replies.
[Strange, his face is familiar; he is a rent-a-cop from my college, the one I never really liked. I've even run from him before!]
Anyway, by this time, the cop is absolutely sure that I was hiding out so that I could burglarize the house that I parked in front of. [This sounds familiar too. It reminds me of the time I was accused of attempted burglary of an ethanol plant by the Saint Paul Police Department. If you want more info, ask me about the "Landmark Six" incident. It seems to be relevant to most of my dreams since that day.] He doesn't even let me explain myself. [Luckily my dream warps out of context and the sequence ends.]
_________

I will have to tell you about the Landmark Six incident soon too. It is probably the main reason that I have been having nightmares, or have been running in most of my dreams in the last 3 years.

Dream 3: (direct transcription from notes)
[I can't really remember this dream, it is very vague and I think it might be a melding of the rest of the dreams I had last night. I did manage to write down a squiggly sentence fragment in the dark that makes it sound like it might have been an interesting dream.]
"dream about organized crime looking for perfect dream to hide in" [That is all I had written down for that dream sequence. It might make a good film thesis]
_________

So, that is all I have for you tonight!
